Myoplex, Muscle Milk, or Slim Fast for weight loss due to hip and back problems?

I am looking for a shake to drink about 3-4 times a day for weight loss. Due to hip and back problems, I am unable to workout the way I would like to and usually do on a regular. What would you recommend and how should I use the one you recommend? I’ve heard people talk about Muscle Milk, Myoplex Lite, and Slim Fast. Yes I already know working out and dieting work, but I need a recommendation for this. Thanks for the input.

I wouldn’t drink the shakes more than twice a day. I can’t tell from your question whether your expectations are realistic or not, so I hope I won’t insult you with some really basic information.

Drinking protein shakes doesn’t magically make you lose weight. Replacing high calorie meals with lower calorie protein shakes can help you cut calories, though. Have a shake instead of breakfast, a shake with some soup for lunch, a normal light supper, and snack on fruit. Track your overall calories on a site like dailyplate.com.

Muscle Milk (you’d want the Light version, the regular is high-fat) has a higher percentage of protein than slimfast (I’m not familiar with myoplex). That can help to keep you full longer and reduce your overall carb intake. But you want to be careful that no more than 30% of your calories are coming from protein (dailyplate makes it easy to track) because too much protein can cause illlness and even kidney failure!
